A message from Mother Máire Hickey OSB

As we mark the milestone anniversary of the arrival of the Benedictine Nuns at Kylemore in December 1920, we remember with deep gratitude the countless friends and supporters who have helped us, for over a hundred years, to develop our monastic mission here in the West of Ireland.

As a community, the Benedictine nuns bring great faith, very hard work and much creativity and resilience to their task. But without the generous help of many, many supporters, Kylemore could not have survived. We are profoundly grateful for all the blessings we have received, and in our daily prayers we remember all who have helped us.

Times have changed greatly, but our need of your support and your friendship is now more urgent than ever. Thank you for considering making a financial gift to Kylemore Trust and its dual mission of supporting the Benedictine monastic way of life and preserving the heritage and beauty of the Kylemore estate for future generations.
