The Lord is my light and my salvation. (Psalm 26).
As I grow older, I find myself thinking more and more about my eternal salvation. This thought leads me then to thinking about my own dear departed and, as life goes by, we lose more friends, family and acquaintances. All Souls is a wonderful way to reaffirm our love for those who have died. We pray for them and remember them at the altar of the Lord.
We pray with hope and joy because we will meet again for all eternity. Such is our faith. We died with Christ in baptism so we will rise with Him in glory.
Death where is thy sting? (1Cor 15:55).
