During Mass on December 8, 2025, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception – feast day of the monastery at Kylemore Abbey – Sister Scholastica made her oblation before friends and guests, reading and signing the document whereby she promised obedience, stability and lifelong conversion as part of the Benedictine community. She then sang the Suscipe – “Receive me, O Lord, according to your Will, and I will live…” She received a copy of the Rule of St. Benedict from Mother Karol O’Connell, as well.
The liturgy was followed by a festive meal, including a special cake!
